What Our Pre-Press Team Does
File Quality Check
Every file you submit is reviewed by a real person. We check for resolution issues, color space compatibility, bleed and trim settings, and potential print-quality problems before your book goes to press. If we find issues, we'll let you know and suggest fixes.
Our Services
Color Management & Profiling
Accurate color is everything. Our facility is fully color-managed from capture to print. We use industry-standard ICC profiles and regularly calibrate all our monitors and presses. We can provide custom profiles for your workflow, and our team reviews every job for color accuracy before printing.
Soft Proofing & Hard Proofs
Want to see exactly how your book will look before we print the full run? We offer:
- Free soft proofs — PDF proofs sent to your email within 24 hours
- Hard copy proofs — printed proofs of your entire book or selected spreads
- Color-accurate proofs — proofed on the same paper stock as your final book
- Revisions included — we'll work with you until you're happy
Template & Design Assistance
Not sure how to lay out your book? We offer customizable InDesign templates for all our book sizes, and our design team can help with layout suggestions, typography recommendations, and cover design assistance. For volume clients, we offer custom template development at no extra charge.
File Conversion & Optimization
We accept files in all major formats (PDF, TIFF, JPEG, PSD, InDesign, Illustrator, and more). Our team can convert files, optimize image resolution, adjust for print conditions, and ensure your project meets our technical specifications. We also offer batch processing for volume orders.

- Standard: 7-10 business days
- Rush: 3-5 business days (+30% fee)
- Super rush: 1-2 days (call for availability)

Free Templates
All our customers get free access to professionally designed templates for every book size we offer. Templates include guides for bleed, trim, and safe areas, as well as sample layouts to get you started. Downloadable from our customer portal after you create your free account.
